POLLINATOR WEEK 2014
We celebrated the whole month of June for Pollinator Week 2014 by taking part in events that helped get the word out about saving the bees. Here is BeeSweet’s impact in action during the month:
20 Community service hours (or volunteer hours)
6 “The Buzz About Bees Workshops”
2 cities
Reached 110+ families
Planted 120 bee-friendly plants
Donated 6 beehives to families who will help boost income through the sale of honey, wax and pollen
It’s National Pollinator Week and I’m busy as a bee celebrating the contribution pollinators make to our world’s food supply. Did you know that one of every three bites of food we eat depends on the honey bee? I’m facilitating workshops throughout Texas during the entire month of June. Attend a free workshop, learn about pollination and take home a fun craft.
